Environment variables

Deploy › Variables holds values that differ per environment: hostnames, feature switches, recipients, folder names. Flows reference them as {{ env.NAME }}, so the same flow works everywhere.

  • New Variable: a Name (letters, digits and underscore, starting with a letter or underscore) and a Value.
  • Secret: the value is encrypted, masked and never shown again after saving. For credentials of a system, prefer a connection, which can be tested.
  • Variables cannot be edited in place: delete and recreate one to change it. Deleting first shows which flows use it.
  • Wherever a variable can be used, the {x} button lists them and inserts the reference at your cursor.
