Control the run
Validate Records
Checks each record against a JSON Schema and tags it valid or invalid.
Nodes › LogicOpen in Neblex
- Good for
- Routing good and bad records apart
- Role
- Works on the records in a flow

- Nodes › Logic
When to use it
- Records must match an agreed structure, such as required fields, types and allowed values, before they reach a destination.
- Valid and invalid records should take different paths, for example invalid ones to a list someone reviews.
Reach for something else when
Assert Data QualityWhen a batch that breaks the rules should stop the run.FilterWhen a simple condition decides which records continue.
Example
Check each incoming order against your order schema. Valid orders go to Salesforce; invalid ones go to a Data Table together with the rule they broke.
How it works
- Settings
- JSON Schema (types, required fields, properties, list items, allowed values, lengths and ranges, patterns, and allOf, anyOf, oneOf, not); Field to check (empty checks the whole record).
- Output
- Every record is kept and tagged
_valid(true/false) and_validation_error(the first rule it broke, or null). The node shows two outputs, Valid and Invalid, to send each kind down its own path.
Add it to a flow
- Open the flow from Build › Workflows.
- Open Nodes and find Validate Records under Logic, or search for it. Click it or drag it onto the canvas.
- Drag from the previous step's output handle to its input, then open its settings with ✎ Edit.
- Run the flow and click the step to see the records it received and produced.
