- Good for
- Several small field changes at once
- Role
- Works on the records in a flow
- Find it in
- Nodes › Transform
When to use it
- A handful of related field changes belong together.
- Codes should become readable values with a value map, such as A to Active.
Reach for something else when
Example
Rename cust_no to customer_id, turn status codes into labels and remove internal notes in a single step.
How it works
- Settings
- An ordered list of rules: + Set / compute field (value, from step, value map or expression), + Rename column, + Remove field.
- Note
- Every rule reads the record as it entered the step, so the order of rules never changes the result.
Add it to a flow
- Open the flow from Build › Workflows.
- Open Nodes and find Edit fields under Transform, or search for it. Click it or drag it onto the canvas.
- Drag from the previous step's output handle to its input, then open its settings with ✎ Edit.
- Run the flow and click the step to see the records it received and produced.
