Customer-Specific Price Lists

Negotiated prices resolve automatically on every quote through priority-ranked customer price lists, each with its own currency and enforced margin floors.

The problem

Negotiated pricing kept in spreadsheets reaches the quote only when someone remembers to look it up. Reps quote the wrong price, finance catches it late, and the customer sees the correction. Every manual lookup is also a chance to give away margin the negotiation never intended.

How it works in Neblex CPQ

Neblex CPQ resolves prices through customer-specific price lists that are priority-ranked, so when more than one list could apply, the ranking decides. Each list carries its own currency. Set the lists up once and every subsequent quote picks up the negotiated price automatically.

Margin floors on price lists are enforced during pricing, so a negotiated list cannot be discounted below the minimum you set. The per-line price waterfall shows every step from list price to selling price to line discount to net price, making each resolution auditable. Cost and margin are visible per line and per quote for users with pricing permission.

Pricing fields stay hidden from users without pricing permission, so sensitive negotiated terms are visible only to the people who should see them. Custom fields on customers keep account context on the record. Request a demo to see your own price structures modeled.

Step by step

1

Create price lists

Set up customer-specific lists, each with its own currency.

2

Rank the priorities

Order lists so the right one wins when several could apply.

3

Set margin floors

Define the minimum margin each list enforces during pricing.

4

Quote the customer

Prices resolve automatically from the highest-priority matching list.

5

Audit the waterfall

The per-line waterfall shows list price, every adjustment, and net price.

Common questions

What happens when several lists match one customer?

Lists are priority-ranked, and the ranking decides which one applies. Resolution stays deterministic instead of depending on which list a rep happens to pick.

Can a rep discount below a negotiated floor?

Margin floors on price lists are enforced during pricing, so pricing will not go below the floor. Deals that need an exception can route through approvals triggered by expressions over discount percent or margin.

Who can see cost and margin?

Cost and margin are shown per line and per quote, but only to users with pricing permission. Pricing fields are hidden entirely from users without that permission.
